FOX knew exactly what they were doing giving Kaling her own show in which she created.

The Originals Favorite New TV Show of 2013

The Originals is SWN's Favorite New TV Show of 2013.  Creator Julie Plec knew she had a gem with the Original vampires that shook-up the CW's hit show "The Vampire Diaries", so they did a spin-off show and named it "The Originals".  With Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Claire Holt leading the cast you could most definitely do no wrong.

Storyline: A spin-off from The Vampire Diaries and set in New Orleans, The Originals centers on the Mikaelson siblings, otherwise known as the world's original vampires: Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), and Rebekah (Claire Holt). Now Klaus must take down his protégé, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), who is now in charge of New Orleans, in order to re-take his city, as he originally built New Orleans.  But with the pressures of father hood soon to be reality (Haley a female werewolf is pregnant with Klaus's child) he must learn to balance controlling his family and controlling the vampires that once followed Marcel.

Once Upon A Time Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show of 2013

Once Upon a Time is SWN's Favorite Sci-fi/Fantasy TV Show of 2013.  ABC's hit series "Once Upon a Time" brings all your favorite childhood fairytale characters to life with a twist in reality.  The show is full of secrets, mystery, magic, love, passion, darkness, family, alliances, enemies, revenge and always a happy ending.  The writers do such an amazing job intertwining the different stories which always connect in some way with a shocking revelation and/ or twist.  There is nothing like diving into a fairytale show full of awesome special effects and great actors.

Storyline: For Emma Swan, life has been anything but a happy ending. But when she's reunited with Henry - the son she gave up for adoption ten years ago - on the night of her 28th birthday, everything changes. The now 10-year-old Henry is in desperate need of Emma's help because he believes from reading a book of fairytales that she's the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming - who sent her away from the Enchanted Forest to be protected from a curse that was enacted by the Evil Queen. Emma initially refuses to believe a word of Henry's story but soon finds that his hometown of Storybrooke, Maine is more than it seems. Because it's in Storybrooke that all of the classic characters we know are frozen in time with no memories of their former selves - except for the Evil Queen, who is Storybrooke's mayor and Henry's adoptive mother Regina Mills. Now, as the epic "Final Battle" for the future of both worlds approaches, Emma will have to accept her destiny and uncover the mystery behind a place.

Cast: Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla, Josh Dallas , Jared Gilmore, Robert Carlyle and more.

Lana Parrilla Favorite Sci-Fi Fantasy TV Actress of 2013

Lana Parrilla is SWN's Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress of 2013. On ABC's hit series, "Once Upon a Time", Parrilla plays the Mayor of Storybrooke, Regina Mills and also the Evil Queen of the Enchanted Forest.  In Storybrooke the other Fairytale characters have no memory of who they really are as they live a normal life but the Evil Queen aka Regina, remembers everything because she is one who cast the spell that made things the way they are -- until her adoptive son Henry starts believing in his story book which tells all the stories of our favorite fairytale characters like Snow White and Prince Charming.

Parrilla is one of the best Evil Queen's to star on TV.  The natural way she embodies the Evil Queen's pure evilness is a true art that only few can do well.  As Regina/Evil Queen Lana Parrilla has to showcase multi-layers of emotions because really Regina is just a heart-broken soul who is still longing for her true love who was killed by her mother but some how confused and misplaced the blame on a young Snow White who was innocent and thought she was helping out a friend.

Lana thanks for sharing your amazing talent with us.

Joseph Morgan Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor of 2013

Joseph Morgan is SWN's Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Actor of 2013. Morgan made his acting debut in 2003 and has starred in several movies since but the UK actor crossed over the Pond and became a household name in the U.S. when he was cast as the re-occurring role as Klaus Michelson on the CW's hit series "The Vampire Diaries" in 2011.  Morgan truly took command of the evil vampire/werewolf hybrid role that turned TVD upside down.  He is so smooth and possesses a suaveness that makes you like the wounded vampire who really just wants to be loved and respected by his family.  But than their is evil-evil side to Klaus that Morgan plays so well....its the side that shocks you when he does the unthinkable and brutally kills someone like when he murdered Tyler's mother because Tyler betrayed him.  Not everyone can play a bad guy and do it well but Joseph Morgan is that guy and that's why we love to hate Klaus.

Morgan can now be seen on the spin-off show, "The Orginals" on the CW playing Klaus.

Tika Sumpter Favorite Break-Out Star of 2013
