Kobe Bryant's wife files for divorce. The NBA Lakers star- player's holiday isn't so merry after all. Vanessa Bryant has finally decided to take half of her basketball husband's fortune per their is NO pre-nup.

Friday - Vanessa Bryant filed divorce papers in the Orange County Superior court sighting irreconcilable differences. LA Times reports that Vanessa Bryant and her attorney had signed the petition Dec. 1, long before it was filed Friday. Her husband's response was signed Dec. 7. Both sides requested joint custody of their daughters Natalia, 8, and Gianna, 5.

According to reports the two have been negotiating their split for months before filing. TMZ reports that Kobe has already moved out of their massive mansion which has been given to Vanessa as part of the settlement.

Many are wondering if Kobe has went back to or continued his old ways. If you remember Kobe had his own sex scandal-back in 2003 when he was accused of sexually assaulting a Colorado woman. Well according to TMZ he never stopped cheating.

TMZ reports -- Vanessa decided to end the marriage because she believes Kobe has been unfaithful ... again.

As one source puts it, "She's been dealing with these incidents for a long time and has been a faithful wife, but she's finally had enough," adding, "This one is the straw that broke the camel's back."

And our sources say ... Kobe "desperately" wants to win Vanessa back and will do "whatever it takes" to save their 10 1/2 year marriage.

Here is a statement from the Bryant camp about the divorce:

"The Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012,"

The Bryants "ask that in the interest of our young children and in light of the upcoming holiday season the public respect our privacy during this difficult time," according to the statement."

Rapper Slim Dunkin was shot and killed Friday afternoon. According to reports the Atlanta rapper was at a studio preparing to record a music video when he had an argument with an unknown man and was shot in the chest.

Here are the details: The 24-year-old rap star, whose real name is Mario Hamilton, got into an argument right before a video shoot at a studio on Memorial drive about 5:30 Friday afternoon. The person he was arguing with pulled out a pistol and shot Hamilton in the chest. Hamilton was pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Music Producer John Atterberry's death which was caused by a crazed gunman shooting people randomly in the streets of Hollywood has shocked the entertainment industry. Atterberry's Facebook page/Twitter was flooded with tributes from his friends and colleagues.

Shaunie O'Neal, ex-wife of former basketball player Shaquille O'Neal and star of hit reality show Basketball Wives, Tweeted: 'RIP John keepin the Atterberry family n my prayers.'

All My Children actress Liz Vassey added: 'RIP John Atterberry. Shot by the gunman on Sunset and Vine on Friday of last week. God bless his family. 40 years old. Tragic.'

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton said: 'R.I.P. #JohnAtterberry Sending love and strength to his family and friends!' I really think America needs tighter gun control laws! You don't see as much gun violence in Canada!!!!'

Atterberry was a businessman who worked his way up to becoming vice-president at Suge Knights Death Row Records which produced artists such as Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur.

John Atterberry, 40, passed away on Monday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, three days after he was gunned down on Sunset Boulevard.

The Music Executive was randomly shot by a crazed gunman while driving his silver Mercedes-Benz during an errand run to the bank.

Atterberry was shot in the jaw and torso by gunman Tyler Brehm.He was the only seriously injured victim of 26-year-old Brehm, who police say fired nearly 20 bullets in the air and at cars as he screamed that he wanted to die. He was killed by police minutes later.

Lakers Lamar Odom's Trade Scare

Lakers Forward Lamar Odom just experienced a trade scare. Reports surfaced Thursday that the NBA Player/Reality Star was half of a trade agreement which included Odom and Pau Gasol being traded from the Lakers to the Hornets for Chris Paul in a deal that was also supposed to involve the Houston Rockets.

When Lamar heard of the shocking news he spoke with ESPN's Stephan A. Smith about it -- Odom became some what emotional questioning why his team that he helped get several championships would consider trading him.

“You’re always going to be stunned and shocked. Sometimes you’re going to ask ‘how did I fall?’”

The League immediately intervened and put an end to the trade, at least for now, according to reports the trade may still happen at a later date. Odom's wife Reality Star Khloe Kardashian said she would follow her hubby any where (Awwww).

MTV's Jersey Shore reality star JWOWW gets January Maxim cover. The beauty has been branding herself since starring in the hit reality show. JWOWW has a facial beauty line and just recently released her first perfume called "JWOWW" and now she graces the cover of Maxim.

Terrence Howard's Ex. Granted Restraining Order

Oscar Award nominated actor Terrence Howard has been ordered to stay 100 feet away from his estranged/soon to be ex. wife by a judge. Howard's wife Michelle Howard alleges the actor has threatened her life and physically hit her several times.

Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon granted the stay-away order sought by Michelle Howard on Tuesday after she filed a lengthy declaration alleging abuse began within a week of the couple's January 2010 marriage. Michelle Howard filed for divorce a year later.

The claim states: Howard, 42, has repeatedly hit her and that he threatened her in a text message last week. She stated in a sworn declaration that she is in constant fear of Howard and has chronic health issues caused by the actor's treatment.

Howard in his own sworn declaration wrote that he has never threatened his wife and that she has repeatedly vowed to ruin his reputation and release private details.

"I live in constant fear of Michelle's endeavors to ruin my reputation; even providing this declaration may well lead to my being subjected to a paparazzi blitz which would not be good for my career," Howard wrote.

Michelle Howard wrote that Howard has hit her several times and threatened to throw her from a hotel balcony in South Africa last year.

Howard has domestic violence in his past with his previous wife before Michelle. The actor was arrested after he had an disagreement on the phone with then wife Lori and made threats. Howard hung up and went over to his estranged wife house and she called 911.

When the police arrived Terrence admitted, “I broke the door down and hit my wife.”

He was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and stalking, but ended up pleading guilty to disorderly conduct.

Bishop Eddlie Long Takes Leave From Church To Deal With Possible Divorce

Bishop Eddie Long announced that he is taking a leave from his church to handle personal family matters at home. The Bishop who became infamous when the scandal broke that he had allegedly used his power and influence to unwittingly pressure 4 young men into engaging in sexual relations. Initially, Long denied these allegations but later settled a civil suit paying an undisclosed amount of money.

During last Sunday’s service, Long announced to his followers:

“I’m going to take a little time off to work with my family. I do want you to know that this is, for me and my family, especially with me, one of the most difficult times and things I’ve had to face, and only because my strength, other than God, is in Miss Vanessa.”

Mrs. Long filed a divorce petition Thursday, less than 24 hours later she issued a statement through the church, claiming that she was withdrawing the petition and she believes in her husband and admires “his strength and courage.” But apparently that wasn't all true because just hours after Mrs. Long’s statement was released, her attorney stepped in and said she was following through with the divorce.

Mrs. Long’s attorney went on to further state that although Vanessa hopes the issue will be resolved “expeditiously, harmoniously and fairly,” she was still fully prepared to continue with the petition—and any future comments would come solely from their camp.

Giuliana Rancic Decides to Undergo Double Mastectomy

E!'s Correspondent Giuliana Rancic announces that she has decided to have a double mastectomy after lumpectomies failed to completely eradicate her breast cancer. The TV Host/Reality Star appeared on the Wendy Williams Show with her husband Bill and revealed that the doctors found cancer in both breast.

Giuliana is doing well after surgery. People magazine reports: Giuliana Rancic is in good spirits after undergoing a successful double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery on Tuesday.

"G is doing really well," husband Bill Rancic told E! News. "Her surgery lasted about four hours and the doctors were very pleased with the result."

The parents the model/fashion blogger spoke with ABC Morning Show and said that their daughter is responsive and making a slow recovery after she suffered severe injuries from accidentally walking into the propeller of a small plane. Scruggs even said her name, "Lauren" and when she saw her parents said, "I Love You".

Scruggs, from Plano, Texas, edits an online fashion magazine and had also worked in the wardrobe department of the TV show "Gossip Girl."

The 23-year-old suffered horrific injuries including the loss of her hand Saturday night after had just finished riding in a single-engine plane to get an aerial view of Christmas lights with a friend.

Lauren Scruggs loses her left eye after propeller accident. "Lauren is recovering remarkably well, given the circumstances," her mother, Cheryl Scruggs, said in a statement Wednesday night. "The doctors are VERY pleased with her progress."

Unfortunately, Scruggs, 23, who lost her left hand and suffered facial and shoulder injuries in the accident as well, had to have her left eye removed on Wednesday
