Chrishell Stause New Role in Salem is Still A Secret

Former AMC star Chrishell Stause has joined the Days cast but still the details about the character are being kept secret.  In an recent interview with ABC Soap in Depth she assures that the new role is very different from her AMC character Amanda:

"I'm really excited about the character," she tells In Depth, before adding, "which I can't talk about yet."

Getting a gig on DAYS means we won't be seeing her in Pinevalley anytime soon.  Stause shares her thoughts on that by saying:

"But I love AMC. It will always have a place in my heart. I would never say no in the future, but for now it doesn't contractually work out for me."



Former Days Star Gets 3 Years Probation Sentence

Former Days star Dylan Patton who once nominated for Outstanding Younger Actor award for his than character Will Horton in 2010 has been sentenced to 3 years probation. On June 13th, Patton was sentenced to three years probation after pleading no contest for charges of felony possession of cocaine with the intent to sell.

The actor was arrested back in May for allegedly selling cocaine out of his Agoura Hills home, TMZ first reported.

- Drake Hogestyn is not returning as John Black as reports stated.  His daughter Alex cleared up that matter via Facebook:

**Casting Call - Days is looking for an experienced actor to play "Derek," a contract role for a 23-26 year old "gorgeous, Caucasian male who must be at least 6 feet tall." The character is described as "incredibly charismatic, intelligent, quick witted, and sincere. When crossed, he can be dangerous."

Emmys: Chandler Massey Takes Home Outstanding Young Actor Award for a Second Time

Days star Chandler Massey takes home the Outstanding Younger Actor Daytime Emmy Award for the second time for his character Will Horton at the 40th Daytime Emmy Awards on Sunday.  Massey's first win was in 2012. 

The actor makes history in being the first actor to do this in NBC Daytime Drama series twice: He is the first of three actors from the near 48 year history of the NBC Daytime drama series to win for a second time in this category. won in 2009 for his portrayal of Max Brady and won in 1988 for his portrayal of Frankie Brady.



Days of Our Lives Wins Outstanding Daytime Drama After 40 Years @ Daytime Emmys

Days of Our Lives wins top honors at the 40th Daytime Emmy Awards.  The soap took home the Outstanding Daytime Drama award after 40 years.  This is Days second win, the first was back in 1978
