Dw by Kanye West Spring 2012 Collection A Red-Carpet Favorite

Hip-Hop star Kanye West debuted his new women's collection during Paris Fashion week, Dw by Kanye West Spring 2012. The Dw stands for his mother's initials, the Donda West who passed away in 2007. The Spring collection included sexy bandage dresses with cut outs and open zippers, plunging necklines, futuristic cuts and folds, leather pants, fur trim jackets, hooded coats, slouchy pants and shimmery jackets. To help pull his vision together West had the help of top British designer Louise Goldin and Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci.

Kanye West made sure he pulled out all the stops with his super model line-up walking the runway which featured Chanel Iman, Jourdan Dunn, Abbey Lee Kershaw and Karlie Kloss.

The front row was star studded affair: Ciara, The Olsen Twins, Lindsey Lohan, Anna Wintour and Jared Leto as well as designers Sylvia Fendi, Alexander Wang, Jeremy Scott, Joseph Altuzarra, and Dean and Dan Caton of Dsquared

“He did a great job. I walked away from this show feeling like I would love to wear this line. There is so much in it that’s right up my alley. Especially since for me, it’s so cool to see someone come from our music world and do something like this. It’s really hard.

Jeremy Scott had some great things to say as well:

"Everyone probably thought it was going to be another like Jennifer Lopez’s Macy’s line and it’s not, it’s really clear it’s not. Kanye has impeccable taste and you see his taste level is up there. He’s a fan of design across the board. I have five-hour long conversations with him all the time about everything because he’s so obsessed, and I think we got a little bit of an insight into his mind there."

Keith Urban Launches His Own Men Cologne

Country star Keith Urban is launching his own mens fragrance called 'Phoenix' in September.

Here is what Urban had to say about the new scents logo:

"I’ve always loved symbolism and mythology, the symbolism of the phoenix being something that succumbs to the challenges and burns in the fire, but then is resurrected from the ashes and rises up from the ashes even stronger than before. The ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’ story of the phoenix is something else that I think fits really well with a man’s cologne.
