Remake of Dirting Dancing Has Fans Asking Who Will Be Cast In Patrick Swayze's Role

Since Kenny Ortega announced that he was directing a reboot of Dirty Dancing (for which he was the original choreographer,)fans have been asking who will be cast as Patrick Swayze's character Johnny? According to reports the top contenders to possibly fill the sexy dancing shoes of Swayze is Justin Timberlake and DWTS professional dancer Derek Hoff.

Many actors names have been mentioned as possibles to replay the iconic roles of Johnny (Patrick Swayze)and Baby (Jennifer Grey). The top contenders for the role of Baby are Emma Stone, and Lea Michelle. Also being chatted about as Baby is Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens.

For me I feel JT has the swagg and smoothness that Patrick Swayze brought to the character Johnny. Derek Hoff has the moves but I don't know if he can be the tough yet caring Johnny that we fell in love with. As for Emma Stone as baby, NOT!!! I am a huge fan of Emma Stone but she is naturally sassy and rough around the edges in a sexy way that Baby doesn't have. The role of Baby is innocent, sweet and soft in which comes easy and naturally for Lea Michelle.

Say What....Lindsay Lohan to Play Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime Movie

Lindsay Lohan to play the late legendary Hollywood actress Elizabeth Taylor in a made for TV Lifetime movie called "Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story". According to Deadline the troubled star is in early talks to play a young Taylor.

Deadline reports: Lohan is in very early talks to play the lead role in Lifetime’s original movie “Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story.” The TV movie, which was announced at the network’s upfront presentation to advertisers in May 2011, will be a biopic and will reportedly revolve around the epic romance between movie icons Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, whose tempestuous relationship was the most infamous celebrity love affair of its day. In a nutshell, Taylor and Burton were the original “Brangelina.”

Lohan’s potential involvement would definitely elevate interest in the project, no matter the production or air date. The problem-plagued 25-year-old could use something positive in her professional career, since the last time we heard from Lohan was via her Playboy interview and court hearings that led to 30 days in jail for violating probation, not attending court-mandated therapy sessions and getting tossed from a community-service gig.

Lohan seems to have a thing for misunderstood, old-school Hollywood icons, given the Marilyn Monroe theme in her Playboy spread and her onetime involvement in a Linda Lovelace biopic. Furthermore, Lohan and Taylor have a few interesting things in common, according to a 2010 article from Slate. “Both had domineering stage mothers, little semblance of a real childhood, fame from a young age, substance abuse issues, public emotional outpourings, and copious amounts of tabloid drama,” wrote Slate senior editor Jessica Grose. “The key difference, though, is that Elizabeth Taylor had a true record of achievement before she became the most notorious movie star in America. She had made almost 30 movies by the time she and Burton were making headlines.”

Amanda Seyfried & Taylor Swift Round-up Cast of Les Miserables

Actress Amanda Seyfried and Country Music's darling Taylor Swift rounds-up the cast of the film adaption of Les Miserables. BroadwayWorld.com has confirmed that offers have been made and the two are expected to accept. Taylor Swift will play the role of Eponine and Amanda Seyfried as Cosette.

Other casting news: Hugh Jackman is set to play the role of Jean Valjean and Russell Crowe squaring off as Javert. Also announced in recent weeks have been Sacha Baron Cohen as Thernardier, Eddie Redmayne as Marius, Aaron Tveit as Enjolras, Anne Hathaway as Fantine and Helena Bonham Carter as Madame Thenardier.

Storyline: Based on the hugely successful Broadway show and Victor Hugo's 1862 novel, Les Misérables follows an ex-con named Valjean (Jackman) in 19th century France as he seeks to redeem himself. Along the way, he rescues Fantine's (Hathaway) daughter Cosette from the abusive guardianship of the greedy Thénardiers (Cohen and Carter) and she blossoms into a beautiful young woman under his care. Meanwhile, though the Thénardiers' daughter Éponine starts out spoiled and pampered, the family eventually falls into poverty.

WE tv has confirmed that Tamar Braxton and her husband Vincent are getting their own spin-off reality show. “’Tamar & Vince’ is a great addition to WE tv’s schedule, especially as we expand into a third night of original programming catering to the underserved audience of African American women that love ‘Braxton Family Values,’” said Kim Martin, president and general manager of the network. “Tamar is a huge part of what’s made that show such a success; she is completely over the top and our viewers just love her!”

WE tv has approved eight one-hour episodes scheduled to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2012. Production begins in March.

Tamar had this to say about the exciting news: “We are so very excited for this amazing opportunity,” said Braxton. “With our family series, ‘Braxton Family Values,’ we aim to show audiences the true meaning of family and sisterhood, and with our new show, marriage.
