The series is about the life of a character named Amy (Laura Dern). After living a rough life, filled with regrets and bad decisions, Amy becomes spiritually awakened. From there, life doesn’t’ really get any better. Sharp will star as Amy’s boss. Luke Wilson will also star in the series as Amy’s drug addicted ex-husband. Series written and directed by Mike White. Actress Paula Patton joins the cast of Law & Order SVU this coming Fall. Patton will play Assistant District Attorney Mikka Von. Michael Ealy joins the cast of CBS hit series The Good Wife. He will play the role of Derrick Bond, the head of a D.C. firm merging with the cash strapped law firm of two of the show’s main characters. “The Good Wife,” starring Julianne Margulies, centers around the wife of a Chicago state attorney, whose convicted due to a public sex and corruption scandal. To repair her reputation and provide for her children, she returns to her old job as a litigator while her husband serves time. The series was inspired by the Elliot Spitzer prostitution scandal.
