Mel Gibson Gets Dropped By Talent Agency But His Ex. Wife Supports Him

Mel Gibson's talent agency drops him but his ex. wife comes forward and supports his latest drama with ex. girlfriend Oksana.

Mel Gibson was dropped by William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, his long-time talent agency.

Here's what we know: Gibson's longtime agent, Ed Limato, passed away earlier this month, and reports claim a new William Morris rep will not take his place and represent Mel.

“At this point he doesn’t seem to be in need of an agent,” a spokesman for Mel told THR, noting that he has two projects coming up - The Beaver, also starring Jodie Foster, and How I Spent My Summer Vacation.

But on the other hand, Mel still has someone in his corner. His ex. wife Robyn who was married to him for 28 years, wrote a declaration stating Gibson was never physically nor verbally abusive.

"Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage," she writes. "Mel was a wonderful and loving father.

The declaration will be submitted to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department when Mel's lawyers to help support his defense against the allegations that he allegedly acted violently and was verbally abusive with ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.

First Look @ Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern

photo: EW.com

Entertainment Weekly provides the first look at Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern. In this issue, EW provides a behind-the-scenes look at the making of next summer’s highly anticipated superhero movie Green Lantern.

Ryan Reynolds stars as Hal Jordan, a cocky test pilot who becomes a ring-wearing intergalactic superhero in this massive sci-fi epic from director Martin Campbell (Casino Royale).

Check out what Ryan had to say:

On the perils of flying at high speed (hurled through the air on a wire at up to 60 feet per second to create the illusion of flight): “The first time you do it, you’re deeply considering an adult diaper.”

On maintaining a weird diet: “It’s all part of the job, so I guess I can’t complain. You spend one day a week eating what you want and the other six days eating drywall and wood chips.”

On his wife Scarlett Johansson playing Black Widow in the Iron Man 2: “We have a lot of comic books lying around the house – more than the average young married couple.”

On his face being plastered on all sorts of Green Lantern products everywhere: “There’ll be the Green Lantern hubcaps. The Green Lantern terry-cloth onesie. The Green Lantern prostate check.”

Other cast members: Tim Robbins, Blake Lively, Mark Strong and Peter Sarsgaard.

Green Lantern is set for a June 17, 2011 release.

Mark Ruffalo to Play the Hulk?

Is Mark Ruffalo the new Hulk? Well, according to reports Ruffalo is currently in talks to replace Edward Norton as the Hulk for the new upcoming The Avengers movie. Edward Norton was to reprise his role as the Hulk but was taken out of the running by Marvel Studio Executives according to reports.

President of Production Kevin Feige publicly announced on Sunday that Norton would be replaced by an actor who "embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members".

I think Ruffalo could pull it off. Ruffalo has been acting in roles that prove he does have true acting talents plus he is very likeable, and we all like the misunderstood Hulk/Bruce Banner. Plus, he has been climbing his way up the ladder as an actor, writer, director and producer. He has been real busy in 2010 with Shutter Island, Date Night and The Kids Are Alright just to name a few.

X-Men: First Class Cast Change

The revolving doors are spinning fast at the casting table for X-Men: First Class. A while back we reported Benjamin Walker was set to play Beast a.k.a. Dr. Hank McCoy, well since that report, the talks fell through between Fox and Walker. According to reports Fox became worried about Walker's age relative to James McAvoy’s Professor X and Michael Fassbender’s Magneto. So as the story goes Walker was dropped and then an attempt was made to get him back but Walker was apparently not feeling the roller coaster ride and walked away all together.

Enter in Nicholas Hoult of Clash of the Titans and the upcoming film Mad Max: Fury Road. At first there was a conflict in filming schedules of Mad Max and X-Men but their has been a delay in filming for Mad Max: Fury Road which has made Hoult available for X-Men's shooting which begins next month.

Also added to the cast: No Country for Old Men’s Caleb Landry Jones as Banshee. (pictured below)

Finally Wendy Willams Returns: No More Re-Runs

WOO-HOO: Wendy Williams is set to return with all new episodes this coming Monday on July 12th LIVE. Thank you, thank you, thank you; I am so tired of those re-runs. We have truly missed Wendy's Hot Topics segment and the advice she gives during Ask Wendy (she always keeps it real).

Wendy has been gone for 6 weeks and we are starving for our favorite talk show Diva.

On the new shows expect to see guest appearances from Bret Michaels, Al Roker, Carson Kressley, Stacy London, Chad Ochocinco, Terrell Owens, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Haylie Duff, Iman, Flo Rida and more!

Plus we know Wendy is going to play catch up on all the juicy hot topics she has missed since she has been gone.

Wendy if you are reading this, I am counting down the moments and I have my DVR already programed so I can watch it again and again.

James Bond 23 Has Been Axed

The much anticipated James Bond 23 starring Daniel Craig has went from being stalled to being axed by MGM. Previously we reported the movie had been placed on hold indefinitely due to financial problems and that Sony and Fox were placing their bids. Well, sorry 007 fans as for now the film is dead cold in the water.

Again, I feel that some major production company will step forward and revive the franchise that has been in existence since 1962. The movie world just would not be the same without agent 007.
